soft & it

Today I had a problem with activex using my hp scann

So if you get the same problem that I do let me tell you how you can resolve it very easily

My problem was ”when I start using HP Scanner, I get the following message:

One of more ActiveX controls could not be displayed because either:

1) Your current security settings prohibit running ActiveX controls on this page, or

2) You have blocked a publisher of one of the controls.

The solution was

  1. Click Start , click Run , type regedit , and then click OK
  2. Expand the following registry subkey
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings\Zones
  3. Delete the extra (parasite) zone from the Zones subkey
Note: The parasite zone is a pseudo-graphic number listed before zone number 0. The pseudo-graphic number looks like a miniature upper case “L”
  4. Close the registry editor
  5. Check to see if the issue is resolved
On the internet you can find that you must change the value from 0 to 1 or vice-versa . Well first check if you have parasite zone, appear upper the 0 , at me looks like a square , but it can looks like a ” L” . Yes delete the parasite zone.
One some forums you can find that you must change the settings in internet explorer from tools at internet options , security , custom level and scroll for activex enable and prompt, but the problem is not there.
